The Viking Congress

The quadra-annual international Viking Congress, which has not been held here in Iceland since the 19th century, is in town this week, and it is an exciting opportunity for Icelandic archaeology.

The United States is not normally represented at the Viking Congress, and there are only a select number of graduate students allowed to attend (in fact, participation is closed to all but invitees). So I feel a certain amount of pressure to have something vaguely interesting to say about my own work, and have about 10 to 12 slides in which to say it. Hmm.
